Just wait until you're shopping for real drum thrones to make it more comfortable to play your fake drum set in Rock Band. Then you'll have to hide your shame like I do instead of blogging about it. Rock out!
Rock BAND? There's a ROCK BAND??? Because when we were making our purchase, I said to Ben, I think they could have drums and keyboards too... I'm so happy to hear you're in on the fun, Matt. Ben, check it out...
These pics are the best thing I have seen in some time. And yes, there is Rock Band. My roommate has it, and if you think Guitar Hero is intense, oh damn, you ain't seen nothing yet.
Have you seen the South Park where the kids become obsessed with Guitar Hero and Stan's dad plays a real guitar for them and Stan's like, "OK, dad. That's lame. That's for losers."?
Oh, I'm so glad this has brought so much entertainment to so many... I haven't seen the South Park, Dan - we don't have the cable - but I have heard tell of it.
Guitar Hero and Rock Band are huge hits among my friends and my family. I have four brothers and sisters and a huge family of cousins, and everyone plays GH, so it tends to get dragged out at family parties and played in pairs combining the youngest kids (7 or 8) with everyone from the others their age to myself and the other old cousins. When Rock Band first came out, I spent the Friday night after thanksgiving playing with my wife, my brother and his wife, and my brother in law, all switching instruments and singing and jumping around our living room like the rock stars we're never going to be. As silly as it is, there's been a lot of family bonding over this game. It's really great stuff.
Oh, and finally mastering the orange button might be one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. And I'm only half-kidding about that.
Hi Matt, nice to see you over here - I thought you were my cousin coming back until you mentioned your four brothers... anyway, I wholeheartedly applaud you on mastering the orange button. I'm not sure I'm doing all that well now that I've added the blue.
