Ok, so I figure if you’re here, I’m not alone in my litpark-missing unsteadiness, and I’ll move right on to the question:
How is everyone getting along without a little litpark in their morning coffee?
Personally, I feel like – I have to have a little something internet-related to obsess about in the morning that doesn’t leave me feeling sucked into a vacuum of nothingness, which means if I’m not obsessively checking the comments section of litpark, it’s an hour of looking at gawker and myspace pages when I should have been, oh, I dunno, reading the fifteen stories I need to read before Wednesday.

I definitely miss LitPark. But Susan will be back, and I'm sure with stories to tell...
I need to link up to your blog from my Lit/Media blog, Paperback Writer...
Heading out of town, but will dive in and peruse your pages upon my return this evening... Have a great day.
For withdrawals, drink Smoothies, and pinch your nearest friend!

Oh, this will make Susan happy. To know that she's become an addiction.
I do miss her, and am glad to see you picking up the slack.
What did I do instead? Wrote a short-short! Long overdue!
I have been having withdrawals. I MISS HER SO DAMNED MUCH. Can't you hear the tears in my typing? I've found that a little writing helps. And, also, black tar heroin. Which I'm mixing with Dramamine, in honor of Susan's voyage. By the way... I was just in Chicago a week or so ago. I didn't see you. I ate at Charlie Trotter's (YOW!), went to the Neil LaBute play FAT PIG and to Second City. Your town rocks. But it's colder than an Eskimo's (arbitrary body part). Regardless, I like you, and your attitude, and your writing. We should, like, get colonics together. I'll bring the microphone.
Yay! You came!!
n.l. - a smoothie sounds about right. And I'll link you up here too.
Gail - good for you, man. I REALLY need to get my writing on too.
James - sorry I missed you here in Chi. That was probably because of the not knowing me and all. Next time we'll work that out. I am a big fan of Chicago myself except for the eskimo ass temperatures, which my dog does not seem to notice, so I have not been able to hibernate as per my usual winter routine. Perhaps the heroin would help with that and the litpark vacation.
I've scheduled a return trip to Chicago for when its 82 degrees, and low humidity. Please go wait for me at O'hare. See you then...
I finished a draft of Book 2. People hate it when I say that, but if you can't share with mutually addicted friends then you who can you share it with.
Betsy--James is made of very thin plastic, so dont' let him stay out in that Chicago heat too long.
I am addicted and I only just got hooked in last week. I blame James.
Did she really just say she finished a draft of Book 2? Amy Wallen must die. Gail, the body of Christ compels you... I believe you can get a clean shot from the pine tree out front. She eats chicken salad in front of her kitchen window everyday at 11:45 a.m.
I have to say I have been enjoying The James Spring Show very much, in all its many incarnations. If Amy says she finished draft 2, I believe her, unless she meant to say she started and finished draft 2, in which case I would be bitter and contemptful.
Do I have any business rubbing elbows with the creamy creme de la creme of writers on litpark?
Possibly. We'll see if I actually have the walnuts to post a comment.
Nifty site, regardless. Now, I am all for the smartassedry, but you seem to know all the funny non-mean writers' sites.
Awww. This is the sweetest thing. I missed you guys like crazy. You are way way more fun than doing a tv show, though I have to say I miss getting mic'ed by beautiful men every morning.
You know, but other than that, you guys rock way way more than anything.
