Are They British?

Why do I feel like it would upset some delicate balancc over at Netflix if I decided one day to refer to my queue as a line?

I read two really awesome stories last night, one by Joyce Carol Oates and one by John Edgar Wideman, but I don't have time to tell you about them right now. Except to say, Damn, if I add another name can I start writing like that?

I had that same exact thought about Netflix last week. I had never occured to me before, and suddenly I thought, 'why queue?' Bloody brits.

Nice blog!

Netflix probably uses 'queue' because programmers have given the word a specific meaning. A 'queue' is different from a 'stack', and both are different from a 'heap'.

Anyway, I think the use of 'queue' means they're geeks, not limeys. Of course, to some people there's little difference.
